Women’s Portraits – Inspired by Tamara de Lempicka

Tuesday 15th February
13:00 – 14:00 UK time

Join us in learning to draw women’s portraits inspired by Polish painter Tamara de Lempicka, best known for her sleek Art Deco paintings. A controversial figure, de Lempicka was unapologetic about the way she lived her life as a bisexual woman, expressing themes of desire in much of her work. She painted the rich and famous during the golden age of the 20’s and 30’s and remains one of the period’s most famed artists.

This session is suitable for all levels. You’ll learn to position the features of the face and use shadow to create depth in your work. Taking inspiration from de Lempicka, your teacher will support you in drawing a portrait of a woman in an Art Deco style.
