LEARNING TO DRAW

Well Loved Tales – Inspired by Martin Aitchison

Tuesday 24th May
13:00 – 14:00 UK time

In celebration of Deafness Awareness week, join us in creating a series of drawings inspired by the iconic children’s book illustrator, Martin Aitchison. Best known for his illustrations for Ladybird Books, his work has told the stories of children’s classics such as Wind in the Willows, Gulliver’s Travels and Pinocchio. His traditional drawings made him a firm favourite with British publishers and over the course of his career, he illustrated at least one hundred different titles.

This session is suitable for all levels. You’ll learn about the life and artistic work of Martin Aitchison and create your own drawings inspired by his illustrations for the well loved tale ‘Wind in the Willows’.
