LEARNING TO PAINT IN WATERCOLOUR
Painting Plants – Flowers to Fungi
PAINTING FLORALS | PAINTING FRUIT TREES | PAINTING FUNGI
Join us in painting a beautiful array of nature inspired subjects. From flowers to fruit trees to fungi on the forest floor, your teacher will support you in creating contrasting shapes, organic patterns and inspiring colour. You don’t need any previous experience to join and you’ll come away with a greater understanding of colour, contrast and form in watercolour.
THURSDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER – 6:30PM GMT
PAINTING FLORALS – BRIGHTNESS & COLOUR
In this session you’ll be painting sunflowers and geraniums. Your teacher will show you how to use light and dark tones to create three-dimensional form and and how to get the most out of your colour palette.
THURSDAY 23RD SEPTEMBER – 6:30PM GMT
PAINTING FRUIT TREES – CONTRAST & SHAPE
In this class you will capture the spirit of the Mediterranean in your paintings of an olive and orange tree. Using light and shadow you will learn to create contrast and strong shapes in the leaves and fruit of your paintings of these magnificent trees.
THURSDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER – 6:30PM GMT
PAINTING FUNGI– PATTERN & FORM
In this session your teacher will celebrate the incredibly varied beauty of fungi. From incredible patterns to stunning graduations of colour you’ll capture it all in a series of fantastic paintings.
You will need:
- Pencil (preferably 2B or softer)
- Black pen or biro
- Paper towel
- Watercolour paints
- Paint brush (round and approximately size 10)
- Watercolour paper
- White wax. This could be a white candle, tealight or a crayon (OPTIONAL)
