Fundamental Settings – ISO, Aperture & Shutter Speeds
In this session, you’ll gain a good understanding of how a camera works. You’ll learn about ISO, aperture and shutter speeds and how to create shallow and greater depths of field. Your project for the week will be to take two photographs demonstrating a shallow and greater depth of field.

Exposure Compensation – Creating Sharpness & Blur
This session is all about exposure and shutter speeds. You’ll learn about exposure compensation and come away with a better understanding of shutter speeds and how it effects the image. Your project for the week will be to use a slow shutter speed to create artistic blur as well as a faster speed to capture action.
Thursday 11th November – 6:30pm – 7:30pm UK Time
Photographic Composition – Creativity & Compositional Rules
This class will teach you the key principles of photographic composition. You will learn the various ‘rules’ of arranging a successful photograph, from the rule of thirds through to the do’s and don’ts of portrait framing.
You will need:
- Camera (with lens, fully charged battery and memory card)
- Ensure your camera is set to Auto Focus (not Manual Focus).
- Paper and pen to take notes
